In-House Volleyball

Program Overview

Age Ranges

Open to kids in grades 3 through 6, providing instructional guidance at a beginning to intermediate level in the fundamentals of volleyball. Kids in 3rd/4th grades play on blended teams, as do kids in 5th/6th grade.

Teams are coached by parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering to be a coach as we would ideally like to have 2 coaches per team.

Equipment Needs

Players provide athletic shoes (required). Knee pads are optional but encouraged. All other equipment will be provided.

Locations

All games and practices are played at Rosemount Middle School, Scott Highlands Middle School, Rosemount Community Center, or local Elementary Schools.

Rules

Rules of play vary by age. Please see below for a full overview of the rules and any variations by age.

FAQs

Can boys sign up for volleyball?

  • Yes! While the majority of the players who sign up are girls, we encourage boys to play in our in-house league.

Can my child sign up with a friend?

  • We will do our best to support mutual friend requests but these requests are not guaranteed. Priority will be given to those that are volunteering to coach.

Will my child be on a team with kids from the same school?

  • We make every effort to place your child on a team with other players from the same school. However, we cannot guarantee placement on a specific team, nor can we guarantee that all players from the same school will be on the same team.

What if my child plays other sports or participates in other activities during the season?

  • Your child is welcome to play other sports or participate in other activities. We cannot guarantee that there will not be overlap between the sports/activities. However, your child will not be penalized for missing games or practices. We ask that you communicate any missed games or practices with your child’s coach in advance.
