Starting in 1st grade, kids start to play real games with coach-pitch, and in 2nd grade games are played with a pitching machine. In 3rd-8th grade, kids will play live games, including kid-pitch.
3rd & 4th grade, and 5th & 6th grade age groups play a season-ending tournament held during the last week of the season. For the kids in 7th-8th grade, we have a season-ending tournament in mid-late July.
Pre-K kids play tee ball, Kindergarten and 1st grader games rely on coach-pitch. In 2nd grade, we utilize a pitching machine. This provides more-consistent pitching and prepares our 2nd graders for playing at the next age level. Grades 3-8 play with kid-pitch.
Big barrel bats are not allowed for Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. All bats must be no bigger than 2 1/4”. There are no limitations in 2nd grade and up; if you plan to play Traveling you may wish to consult that program’s bat rules; click here for the Traveling Baseball page.
All games are played at public fields in and around Rosemount.
Rules of play vary by age.
