The 2010 season will be Rosemount’s third year of offering field (outdoor) lacrosse, and more and more children are trying this new and exciting sport. Lacrosse combines the sports of hockey and soccer for a unique and fun athletic experience. The goal of the program is to work on skill development, game knowledge, and teamwork while creating a positive learning environment that enhances player development and team play.

NEW THIS YEAR: DISTRICT-WIDE REFEREE SCHEDULING

In an ongoing attempt to better the referee scheduling process, YLM has decided to go to a district-wide ref scheduling format this year. This means that referees will designate up to two districts in which they want to be scheduled and will register online at www.youthlaxmn.org.

To aid district ref schedulers, all prospective referees will be asked to provide their USL number, contact information, etc. That information will be available only to YLM board members and schedulers.

If you know someone who has completed UMLOA training, please pass this information along to them. If you know someone who is still interested in becoming a certified referee, please direct them to the home page of www.youthlaxmn.org for more information.

Online registration for referees can be found under the "Register Online" tab on the website.
